Chronic pelvic pain (CPP) affects up to 25% of females of reproductive age, and 15% of all females worldwide. It is a common complaint of females visiting the gynaecology outpatient department.

Thrombocytopenia (TCP) is the second most common haematological finding in pregnancy next to anaemia. It carries a risk for both the mother and the fetus, associated with substantial maternal or neonatal morbidity and mortality.
