Implementation science and community-engaged approaches can address cancer inequities by improving the delivery, uptake, and effective expansion of evidence-based cancer care in real-world resource-limited settings.

THIS YEAR’S European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) congress was the 38th, and the first ever hybrid congress organised by ECTRIMS. The congress, which is the world’s largest for research into the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment in multiple sclerosis (MS) and related neurological disorders, is held in collaboration with Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis (RIMS).

PROGRESSIVE multiple sclerosis (MS) posed an important topic of discussion at the 38th European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) Congress, held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, between 26th–28th October 2022. Throughout the engaging session on progressive MS, chaired by Kathy Smith, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New York, USA, and Jan Meilof, University of Groningen, the Netherlands, key learning and focus points to consider for the future of clinical trials and treatments were summarised and spotlighted.

The current treatments for children with multiple sclerosis (MS) was a theme explored in a session at this year’s conference of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS), which took place on the 26th–28th October 2022. The speakers shared their insights into the management and clinical consequences of MS in children, and discussed perspectives as to why immunomodulatory treatment is different in children with MS.

Dysphagia is defined as “any disruption to the swallow sequence that results in compromise to the safety, efficiency, or adequacy of nutritional intake.” Dysphagia may have an oropharyngeal or oesophageal cause, resulting in delayed transit of liquids or solid food from the mouth to the stomach.

Fox emphasised that PD is one of the fastest-growing neurological disorders. Disability and deaths related to it have more than doubled from 1990–2015. Its prevalence is expected to grow exponentially by 2040, affecting approximately 12.9 million individuals worldwide.
