In this interview, hear from Ester in ’t Groen, Therapeutic Area Head, Haematology, Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine EMEA, as she discusses how advances in T-cell redirecting therapies are transforming the treatment landscape for multiple myeloma.

Ester in ’t Groen is Therapeutic Area Head, Haematology, Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine EMEA. In this role, she is responsible for the medical strategy for the haematology therapeutic area across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, overseeing the development and implementation of regional medical affairs strategies while contributing to the global strategy for innovations in blood cancer treatment.
In ’t Groen joined Johnson & Johnson in 2011 and has held a number of leadership positions across oncology and haematology. Most recently, she served as Country Medical Director for the Netherlands, overseeing the Dutch Medical Department across therapeutic areas. She has also held roles including EMEA Medical Director CAR-T and several regional and local haematology medical affairs positions across the Netherlands, Benelux and EMEA regions, with particular experience in multiple myeloma and CAR-T cell therapy.
Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, in ’t Groen completed a Master’s degree in Biomedical Health Sciences and a PhD in Cell Biology at Radboud University Nijmegen before working in clinical research at Pfizer and Covance.
