For decades, high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) meant transurethral resection and Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG). With an immunotherapy-based combination now FDA approved in BCG-naive disease, a urologic oncologist, a medical oncologist, and an advanced practice provider (APP) examine who stands to benefit, and why a new therapy alone won’t close the gap on recurrence and progression.
