Joan Carles is Head of Section for the Genitourinary, Central Nervous System, Sarcomas and Tumours of Unknown Origin Unit at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona, Spain.
He is additionally Co-Founder of the Spanish Society for the Treatment of Genitourinary Cancer (SOGUG), for which he also served as Secretary and Vice-President, and member of the Spanish Sarcoma Research Group (GEIS). Carles’ pioneering research focuses on genitourinary clinical oncology, sarcoma, and early clinical and translational research.
