Sofia Merajver brings an unparalleled understanding of breast and ovarian cancer, having dealt with this both as a doctor and patient. Having gained her medical degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA, she went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at the same institution, as well as a fellowship in oncology. Sofia founded the Breast and Ovarian Cancer Risk Evaluation Program at the Rogel Cancer Centre, Ann Arbor, and acts as Scientific Director of the Breast Oncology Program.

Sofia’s multidisciplinary research on the fundamental structure of information transmission in cellular signal transduction cascades brings together groundbreaking work in the fields of oncology, physics, electrical engineering, and cell biology, and as a result, she has made waves in cancer research.
